Joondalup Health Campus
JHC has grown into one of the major hospitals in WA.
It has 670 beds, 12 operating theatres, 2 endoscopy suites and a catheter laboratory.
The central areas of the hospital comprise (from south to north) an emergency department, intensive care and critical care units, and the operating theatres.
The critical care area comprises 25 beds (9 ICU, 6 HDU and 10 CCU beds).
We currently see about 100 000 presentations per annum in our emergency department, making it one of the busiest in Australia.
We have a busy obstetric unit with around 4000 deliveries per annum.
As part of the Ramsay group, there are several wards dedicated to private patients, predominantly located on the eastern side of the hospital. The public wards are located to the west
The state government has committed to the expansion of the hospital. Although still in final negotiations, the announced additional expansion would increase the hospital to 20 theatres plus several additional wards
